Dates and access
When does MapleStory Classic World release?
Grand Launch is October 21, 2026. Players with a qualifying Founder's Package get Founder's Access from October 6, 2026, and progress made then carries into Grand Launch.
Can I pre-download Classic World?
Yes. Nexon published pre-download instructions for both Nexon Launcher and Steam on September 29, 2026.
What carries over from Founder's Access to Grand Launch?
Nexon says progress made during Founder's Access carries directly into Grand Launch; there is no wipe between the two.
Founder's Packages
What are the Founder's Package tiers?
Snail, Orange Mushroom and Zakum. Only Orange Mushroom and Zakum include Founder's Access from October 6; Snail is cosmetics only (Mark of the Founder, Glimmer, Jr. Balrog Invasion items, Well-Loved Outfit Set). Each higher tier includes the lower tier's items.
Why does Steam only sell the Zakum Package?
Nexon's FAQ confirms the Steam version offers only the Zakum tier. The other tiers are sold through Nexon's own store.
Can I upgrade my Founder's Package tier after buying?
Nexon's FAQ covers tier upgrades; the exact mechanics are set out there. We will not restate prices here because they can change.
Do the Founder's Package items expire?
Nexon answers this in the FAQ. Check the current text before relying on an item for the long term.
Platforms and controls
Is Classic World on macOS?
Yes, through the macOS beta. Nexon's FAQ has the install steps and a known-issues note.
Can I play Classic World with a controller?
Yes. Nexon officially supports Xbox, DualShock and DualSense controllers over USB or Bluetooth. Turn on Enable Controller Support in Game Options first; it is off by default. Other controllers may not work.
Can I run MapleStory and Classic World at the same time?

Accounts, NX and policy
Are character names shared between MapleStory and Classic World?
Nexon's FAQ addresses whether IGNs are shared between the two games; the current answer is in the FAQ.
Is NX shared with regular MapleStory?
Yes. NX balance is the only thing shared between MapleStory and Classic World. Maple Points stay in MapleStory, MVP benefits do not apply, and Classic World has its own Leaf Points as an alternative Cash currency. Founder's Packages cannot be bought with NX.
If I am banned in MapleStory, am I banned in Classic World?
Nexon's September 22, 2026 memo states that account sanctions apply across Global MapleStory and Global MapleStory Classic World.
Can I transfer from Challenger World to Classic World?
No. Nothing moves between MapleStory worlds and Classic World except your NX balance; characters, names, items and Maple Points stay where they are. Classic World characters are created fresh on Maple Island.
